1. I am not employed by Heaven Inc but there is a need to use our gifts to do God's work.
2. I am here to redefine the place of an artist in the modern world; my place is Africa and I want to break away from the confines of what artists here are. I want to use my platforms to say the things I have painted or paint the things I say.
3. Some ideas don't need to be traditionally crafted as do others not need be digitally executed, but the motivation for using different mediums and being multi-disciplined is to express myself in more ways and visually open minds to a reality or an escape that never existed before their interaction with my work.
4. Art for Decor and art for social change don't necessarily need to placed in the same spaces and I am OK to do both because without food to eat I cannot paint nor grow my skills enough to express the freedom of thought I want for everyone.
5. In the grand scheme of things, evolution scaled as time makes my existence here a flash in the human story, if my art will outlive me I have to tell stories that speak about now, today, or the future and the past as they are seen, today. Being in the moment is fuel for creation.
6. My work is spiritual and dotted with symbols of Islamic, Christian, Scientific and Human experiences as that is how a lot of us understand the world we live in. It pushes those boundaries to new heights by observing how we deal with these shared experiences in different ways
